Lossiemouth residents who were expecting their recycling bins to be collected at the kerbside today missed out when the refuse truck suffered a breakdown.
Moray Council issued an apology this afternoon (Monday) when many bins were left at the side of the road in the town.
Residents are now being asked to resubmit their recycling bins for collection on Tuesday morning when it is hoped that the technical problems will have been resolved.
Those who normally have collections on a Tuesday are being assured that the new arrangement will not affect them and they should leave their bins out as normal.
