Young people urged to provide their ‘Dynamic Vision’ of Moray

Young people in Moray are being encouraged to spend time this summer capturing the natural beauty of the environment in which they live.

Following their highly successful photography competition last year in which hundreds of local schoolchildren submitted their impressions on nature in Moray, Dynamic Visions has again launched a summer challenge.

In association with Asda in Elgin, Moray Firth Radio’s ‘Cash for Kids’ and insideMoray, Dynamic Visions is calling on photographic entries that best depict the theme ‘Summer in Moray’.

Dynamic Visions spokeswoman Michelle Gillibrand explained: “Young people are being challenged to bring their own imagination and style to their entries under that theme.

“We had a superb reaction to our photographic competition last year and we are confident that with so much wonderful weather showing Moray off at its very best there will be many more this summer.”

The competition is open to young people in Moray in the Primary 3-4, Primary 5-7, S1-S3 and S4-6 age groups. Entries can be received from individuals, schools or youth groups.

The competition is being linked to a major charity variety show to be staged at the Lossiemouth Town Hall on Friday, October 3. The Asda/MFR Cash for Kids Charity Variety Show has already lined up an array of local talent with full details set to be announced next month.

Ms Gillibrand said: “The competition winners and runners-up will be guests at the variety show where their work will be on display.

“The school or youth group the winning entries attend will receive a percentage of the money raised on the night of this event – last year four schools in Moray received £300.00 each.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank ASDA Elgin, MFR and insideMoray for making this a truly community project for the local community.

“Should you wish us to give a small presentation to your school about the competition, require a copy of the rules or any further details please email dynamicvisions13@gmail.com.”
