An international IT firm is to create 28 new apprenticeships at their Forres base to help them in the provision of their central government contracts.
Atos say the jobs will include several apprentices who will be ‘fast tracked’ through a 12-week Cyber Security Academy with full university accreditation.
Head of development and innovation at the firm’s Forres base, Owen O’Donohue, revealed the initiative this week.
He said: “They are bright and motivated young people and are already adding a different viewpoint to the way we support our clients in the delivery of information security, information management and analytics, software development and testing here in Forres.”
Atos opened the new innovation centre at Venture House on the Forres Business Park in 2013. The company recruited several staff members from personnel formerly based with the RAF at Kinloss.
