People are being warned to look out for scary monsters disguised as kids when they are out and about in the centre of Elgin this weekend.
Halloween arrives just a little early as Saturday will see the arrival of the annual Halloween Family Fun Day – providing endless opportunities for young minds.
Organised by Elgin Bid, a packed programme of events and entertainment has been organised with the Elgin & District Pipe Band opening the show at 11am.
At around 12.15pm registration for the Fancy Dress parade takes place at the St Giles Shopping Centre with the procession itself starting out from there at 1pm.
Throughout the afternoon the Elgin Rotaract has organised a variety of family favourite games with a Halloween them while a Craft Fair will operate on the Plainstones.
Prizes are on offer for the scariest wee monsters on parade, who will be split into three age groups – under 5’s, 5 to 10 year olds and 11 to 15 year olds.
Clues will also be posted throughout the city centre for a Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt which will be free to enter and offers prizes for winners from the Bid market stall.
A full programme of the events taking place and competition details can be found on the Elgin Bid Website.
