Call for solo Moray residents to accept Christmas invitation

Festive offer in Elgin (David Robertson)

An invitation has been issued to any Moray residents who for whatever reasons are likely to be spending Christmas Day on their own.

Volunteering organisation tsiMoray is set to provide some welcome Festive cheer by providing company and a hearty Christmas Day lunch at the Williamson Hall in Elgin’s Duff Avenue.

As well as providing great company the group will also provide transport to and from the lunch which will be held from 12noon until 3pm on December 25.

Coordinating the lunch is tsiMoray’s volunteer and group development manager, Jenny Devlin, who said: “This will be our fourth year and the event has grown considerably over that time.

“We started it as we just wanted reignite a true sense of community spirit at Christmas – and it really is a lot of fun.

“The Christmas Day lunch is also popular with volunteers who contact tsiMORAY well in advance to pledge their support on the day.

“There is no cost at all to participants who are advised to bring their singing voices with them – however, booking is essential not later than December 22.”

To book a place Moray residents are asked to contact Nina at tsiMORAY by calling 01343 541713 or by email to info@tsimoray.org.uk.
