Moray musicians issued a challenge to ‘sing for their supper’

The Copper Dog

Musicians in Moray are being invited to ‘sing for their supper’ at one of Moray’s most prestigious venues.

The Copper Dog at the Craigellachie Hotel is fast growing an entirely new reputation. Already famed for its whisky and food, the venue is now enjoying a reputation for live music, helping to provide a platform for local talent.

Now the venue has teamed up with Leap Scotland who are inviting musicians to take part in a series of intimate ‘acoustic sessions’, joining such as Amy Papiransky, Kirsty Drever and Ian Ross who have already took to the small stage.

The ‘First Thursday Music Night’ is being planned from tomorrow evening (Thursday) from 8pm until 10pm with an open invitation extended to musicians to perform. Leap Scotland’s Lesley Ann Parker said: “Regular Copper Dog musician Max will host the evening and if requested will provide guitar accompaniment to any singers.

“Those invited to play on the night will receive a £25 voucher for dining in the Copper Dog on the following First Thursday.”

Anyone interested in booking slots is being asked to contact Max McPherson on max@maxmcpherson.co.uk or Lesley Ann Parker on lesley@leap-scotland.com or by telephone to 07887 846495.

Lesley Ann added: “This is an open night and everyone is welcome to come and listen – booking is recommended for dining in the Copper Dog Bistro.”
