FREE COMPUTER COURSES for beginners are once again set to be offered at five Moray libraries – but assistance is being sought to help library staff deliver the service.
The courses will be operated thanks to a successful funding application by Moray Council libraries and information service from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Tutored courses will take place on a weekly basis over four week and are to be held at the libraries in Elgin, Buckie, Keith, Forres and Lossiemouth.
A spokesman said: “Participants will learn how to become part of the digital age with sessions in creating and using an e-mail account, internet search skills, using social media, digital devices, identifying and deleting spam and staying safe online.”
Volunteers are now being sought to assist in the delivery of the courses – information on that and bookings for places can be obtained from Elgin Library by calling 01343 562603.
