A CANADIAN BAND are set to take the stage for a welcome return to Keith as part of their latest Scottish tour.
The Whisky Minstrels now include two members of Tiller’s Folly in a group still boasts award winning songwriter Bruce Coughlan and instrumentalist Nolan Murray sharing their music and stories from four decades on the road.
Their Moray performance has been organised by the Keith TMSA Festival Committee, for whom chairman Kathleen Anderson said: “We are delighted to welcome Bruce and Nolan back to Keith and to be able to host them here.
“They went down a storm the last time they appeared here about four years ago and it’s great that they have chosen to play in Keith again. They are an extremely talented and well accomplished pair of musicians and the singing is superb.
“We really hope that the Keith audience turns out to show their great hospitality and appreciation. Also, where else would you get such a great night out for a fiver?”
Those attending will be treated the Celtic influences and stories from the group gleaned from time spent in the Scottish Highlands – alongside influences from Bluegrass and Country Blues as a result of their trips to the South.
The Whisky Minstrels will be performing at The Ugie House Hotel, Keith on Wednesday, July 29.
Tickets priced at just £5 can be purchased from the Hotel or at Peterkins Solicitors, Mid Street, Keith. Tickets and information can also be obtained by e-mailing garycoull@hotmail.com or telephone Gary on 01542 888471.
