FOOD AND DRINK of the highest quality will be on offer this weekend as Moray’s second ‘Moktoberfest’ celebration of local craft ale gets under way.

However, organisers are also inviting their guest at Elgin Town Hall to sit back and enjoy the music as some of the best bands from around the north east are making their way to the Festival.

For the opening session on Saturday from 11am to 5pm Jon Davie and Blair, both from Aberdeen, will be on stage as will Inverness folk/pop entertainer James MacKenzie. Rounding off the session will be the Sons o’ the Soil.

On Saturday evening from 6pm to Midnight, the line up boasts bands from Aberdeen – the Daniel Mutch Band, Full Fat, Strange Skies, Terrodactyl, Gerry Jablonski and the Smokin Burgler Band.

For the final Sunday afternoon session from noon until 6pm, the entertainment will be provided by the Stein Brass and their traditional German festival music supported by Moray band The Disclaimers and Chris Grant.

While the Saturday evening session is now completely sold out there are still a limited number of tickets available for the two afternoon sessions – visit http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/elgin-moktoberfest-2015-tickets-18391736178 to book.
