A MASSIVE ONLINE search has spread throughout the nation for a missing Elgin Breton Spaniel is still very much alive after over a month.
Two-year-old Molly had only recently been rehomed from a Spanish rescue centre by her Elgin owner Janine Cabrera.
Janine had only adopted Molly for a week when she ran away while out walking with her 11-year-old daughter on November 29 in Cooper Park.
Mrs Cabrera described Molly as a ‘timid and quiet’ dog, adding that it was very much out of character for her to take off in the way she did. Now a month on the social media campaign the family launched to locate the missing pet has so far prompted some possible sightings – but no return home for Molly.
“We wonder if someone has taken her in,” Mrs Cabrera said, adding: “Or she may have fallen down a hole, it is very worrying.”
Thousands have joined the search for Molly through the Lost Dogs Scotland website, with some sightings reported around the woods at Crofts of Buinach.
When last seen Molly, who is currently in season, was wearing a red harness. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Molly is being urged to contact Janine on 07539 102924 or Claire on 07920 248947.
