A MOTORIST HAD an amazing escape when his car left the B9016 between Keith and Buckie before overturning several times and landing on its roof.
The Renault Megane was being driven through atrocious weather last night at shortly after 9pm when the accident happened just past Aultmore and close to the junction with the A96.
While the vehicle was left a mangled wreck the motorist was not seriously hurt.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a car left the road a mile from Aultmore on Thursday evening.
“The driver of the black Renault Megane did not suffer any life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. It is too early to say if weather conditions played a part in the accident.”
It is not known if at this time if any other vehicle was involved.
