A MORAY BUSINESS has come up with a unique way of attracting new customers – while providing a service to its local community.
Residents from local nursing homes have been treated to a free cake and cuppa to help launch the Forres-based Mackenzie and Cruickshank ’65 Plus’ card scheme.
The popular garden centre invited residents from the Cathay, Meadowlark and Cameron Court care homes as their guests to mark the launch of the scheme that offers a 10% discount in their store every Tuesday.
Already there has been 100 customers who were delighted to sign up for the card when it launched this week. Mackenzie and Cruickshank owner Peter Wilson said: “We have decided to launch the 65 Plus Club to honour our slightly more mature customers who have been spending with us over the years.
“People can sign up online or in store. As it’s such a great deal, it may be that we ask people to prove they are 65 or over, although we hope people will take this as a compliment if asked to do so.”
