LOCAL CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS are being encouraged to consider applying for financial support through the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation.
In the last three years the foundation has awarded over £400,000 to a host of charities and local groups seeking to benefit their local community.
Now the foundation say they are looking for innovative projects and events for their final round of funding this year.
To help groups make the most of the opportunity, the Foundation has created a ‘top tips’ video (below) outlining what should be included to maximise the chances of making a successful application.
The Foundation manages personal legacies left by Gordon and Ena Baxter of the Moray-based Baxters Food Group, and awards funds twice each year to groups working in education, health, social welfare, sport, arts, heritage, conservation and the environment across the north east of Scotland and Highlands and Islands.
Organisations have until Friday, September 30 to submit completed application forms and successful awardees will be announced in October.
Kay Jackson, manager of the Foundation, said: “In our first funding round in April we donated over £34,000 to 20 exciting and creative local groups and charities across the North of Scotland.
“As we launch the second awards round of this year, we’re encouraging groups with new ideas and
“We hope our top tips video will offer a bit of guidance and act as a useful tool for organisations to refer to while completing their application to ensure it ticks all the right boxes and is successful.”
