THE PROCESS THAT aims to inform the future shape of Forres is set to take another step forward when two sessions are held in the Planning for Real® process this month.

Dozens turned out earlier this year for sessions that allowed local people to influence how their communities might look in years to come.

This month will see two further sessions in which all are welcome to contribute their ideas in front of a large 3-D map of the town.

Under the ‘Forres 2020 Vision’ banner, the process has been led by a group of local volunteers supported by the Moray Council Community Support Unit.

Community support worker Sylvia Jamieson said: “The sessions we held in August and September were very well supported and lots of people came along with ideas.

“These new sessions are a continuation of the Planning for Real® process and we are looking forward to even more people coming along and contributing their vision of how the Forres of the future might look.”

The two upcoming sessions will be in the town hall on Saturday, November 12 from 2pm to 6pm and Monday, November 21 from 5pm to 8pm.
