Appeal for witnesses follows assault on Keith street

A MAN SUFFERED serious facial injuries during an assault in Keith in the early hours of Sunday morning, prompting a plea for information from local police today.

The assault of a 25-year-old happened at around 1.45am in the Mid Street area close to Sodgers Lane West.

Investigating is PC Jamie Dey from the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit, who said: “This attack left a young man with serious injuries that required hospital treatment.

“I would appeal to anyone who was out that night in the area and saw anything that could assist with our inquiries to contact Police.

“In particular, we would like to speak to a woman again who was there at the time and spoke to officers at the scene. Please phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
