Two facing charges following series of Moray break-ins

TWO MEN HAVE been charged in connection with a series of thefts that took place throughout Moray in recent weeks.

The ‘acquisitive crimes’ prompted a series of public warnings being issued by police who urged residents to take particular care in securing their properties.

Now the men, aged 32 and 35, have been charged in relation to a number of thefts by housebreaking in Elgin and other parts of the region since December last year.

Both have now been reported to the Procurator Fiscal who will decide on further action.

Detective Constable Robbie Williams said: “Acquisitive crime will not be tolerated and we continue to urge residents to report any concerns or suspicious behaviour to police on 101.

“We also urge residents to always ensure that their windows and doors are locked at all times.”
