The planes are alive with the Sound of Music

THE AIRCRAFT WILL be alive with the sound of music this weekend when the Scottish Chamber Orchestra calls in at the Morayvia Sci-Tech centre in Kinloss.

The national group of musicians will be conducting a series of musical workshops at the former Kinloss school which has quickly become one of the go-to places in Moray for residents and visitors alike.

Morayvia’s Stan Barber told insideMoray: “Morayvia’s objectives includes the advancement of arts, heritage culture and science so this is not a major departure for us.

“We were delighted with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra asked if they could hold this workshop at the Morayvia centre. The plan is to have musicians in the Sea King helicopter, Antonov aircraft and our Nimrod section.

“Workshops will also be conducted in the Cinema and Gym, although that does mean that our Planetarium will not be available for this one day.”

The SCO Family Day will run on Sunday, June 11 from 11am until 3pm – tickets are £5 for Adults and £3 for Children with family tickets also available.
