AN END OF TERM concert marking the conclusion of a successful year for Moray’s renowned youth band is to take place in Elgin next week.
Moray Concert Brass has enhanced its place as one of the best youth bands in the country, taking their music around Europe over the last year.
A well-received tour of Belgium last summer was followed by another busy year of concerts – including playing host to international trumpeter Rex Richardson, the annual ‘Carols at the Cathedral’ performance in Elgin and a sell-out Magical Moments concert in aid of the Aila Coull Foundation.
Conductor and band leader Glenn Munro said: “The band have worked really hard this year and we hope the concert this week will provide a fantastic finale with something for everyone to enjoy.
“The programme will include our rendition of ‘when you wish upon a star’ from Pinocchio as well as music from Jesus Christ Superstar and the Best of James Bond.”
Tickets for the concert will be available at the door from 7pm on Thursday, July 2 at the Mansion House Hotel in Elgin, priced at £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.
