KEITH WILL HOST Moray’s contribution to the 2015 Armed Forces Day with a parade through the town later this month.

Serving personnel from Kinloss Barracks and RAF Lossiemouth will join ex-servicemen and women and their families in the annual tribute to all of those who have served or still serve in any of the armed services.

“This is our opportunity to show our appreciation for the armed forces and their families,” Council convener Allan Wright said, adding: “In Moray we are fortunate to have a long and proud association with all three arms of the military.

“Many veterans of these services continue to enhance our communities.”

The salute at Keith will be taken by the Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire, Clare Russell, as the parade marches past the Square where a variety of stalls and displays will be set up.

Moray rotates the host town for its Armed Forces Day celebration each year. The 2015 event will begin at 2pm and close three hours later – any veteran wishing to join the parade is being asked to be at the muster point on north Mid Street by 1.30pm.
