Seafest final day in Lossiemouth
Seafest final day in Lossiemouth

A WEEK OF coastal fun and games will come to a close today in spectacular fashion with the culmination of Lossiemouth’s second annual ‘Seafest’.

Hundreds are expected to descend on the Station Park and Promenade area of the town for the Food Fayre and Fun Day from 11am until 4pm – with organisers aiming to build on the success of the inaugural event in 2014.

All that is best in local food and drink – with Seafood specialities very high on the menu – will once again be available through a host of producers, while entertainment will also be provided with bands on hand to provide a musical backdrop to the day.

Kids will love the return of the promenade train rides that proved to be a Seafest highlight last year – while Morayvia will also be on hand to show off some of the Aircraft exhibits and to discuss plans for a future permanent science and flight centre in Moray.

Grampian Fire Brigade will have an engine on site for close inspection by young and old, while there will be a Children’s Fancy Dress contest with a piper-led parade down the promenade.

Fairground rides, craft stalls, cookery exhibitions and locally produced craft beers will also feature alongside dozens of exhibition stands, while the RNLI Lifeboat will also be in the harbour for closer inspection.

Seafest will come to a close this evening with a ‘Stovie Dance’ from 8pm at Lossiemouth Football Club rooms on Macduff Street.
