YOUNG MORAY RESIDENTS will be able to learn new arts and crafts skills at the Elgin Museum next week – part of a series of summer events for children at the popular venue.
The museum will host a “textiles handling course” on Wednesday, July 22 while youngsters can have a go at paper weaving the following day.
In August the museum is welcoming children to a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ in celebration of their new Alice in Wonderland display.
That is part of a series of exhibits in the museum in recent weeks celebrating the 150th anniversary of the original Lewis Carrol book.
During the exhibition some of the most treasured personal belongings of the famous author, real name Charles L Dodgson, are on display in the museum.
The craft sessions will both take place from 11am until 2pm while the exhibition can be viewed from Monday to Friday at the museum from 10am to 5pm.
