MORAY PRIMARY SCHOOL pupils in Keith are being warned of the dangers posed by playing on building sites.

There has been concern that pupils attending Keith Primary School were in danger of injury by being drawn to work on a new housing development – and using it as a playground.

Such was the concern that the developers of the forthcoming site at Strathisla Park, Deveron Homes, provided pupils at the school with an insight into the potentially fatal risks posed by such building sites.

A Kidsafe talk was given to pupils who were shown a DVD on the hazards that exist on building sites – the first of a series of events the developers are taking part in at the school.

β€œIt is important for us to help education young people about site safety,” Deveron Homes sales director Lynne Holburn said, promising that the Huntly-based property company will be returning to classroom assignments that will include a safety poster campaign.
