AN ARRESTING INSIGHT into how a police station in Moray operates is available to everyone without the need for handcuffs.

Elgin Police Station is to open its doors today so that residents can see for themselves the work being undertaken by local police officers.

Members of the public are being invited into the station as part of an ‘open doors’ day from 10am until 2pm today (Saturday).

They will meet local police officers while there was also be an opportunity to sit in a police car, visit the holding cells and learn about how crime scenes are examined.

Anyone who might be interested in a police career will also be able to discuss their options with recruitment staff.
