A MORAY HOLIDAY park were delighted to be able to hand over £2575 to local committee members of the Macmillan Cancer Support charity this week.

Staff and customers at the Silver Sands raised the funding after they held a coffee and cakes morning at the Lossiemouth park.

Team members from Silver Sands served up food and drinks for more than 75 guests, with extra funds being raised by holiday home owner Sandy Geddes, who was sponsored for shaving off his beard, and entertainments manager Jamie Hadingham who had his legs, arms and chest waxed.

The sponges were baked by holiday-home owners from Silver Sands, who tapped into their inner Mary Berry’s to deliver a mouth-watering menu of sweets for the charity event.

Rebecca Grant, general manager at Silver Sands said: “We are delighted that so many people took part, both in bringing cakes and then dipping into their purses to raise so much for the Macmillan nurses.

“Having a natter over coffee and sweet treats is the perfect way to raise money for charity. Thank you to everyone who got involved.”
