Two escape unhurt after being rescued from under trailer

TWO PEOPLE HAD to be rescued from under the trailer of a tractor following a road accident in Moray last night.

A car and the tractor collided at around 7.10pm on the B9089 road between Kinloss and Roseisle.

Police were joined at the scene by Fire and Rescue appliances – firefighters used cutting gear to free the trapped motorists.

Although an ambulance was also on standby at the scene, remarkably neither of the motorists suffered any injury and the road was cleared again within 20 minutes.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We sent out three appliances to the scene – two from Elgin and another from Forres.

“The two people were released and then looked over by ambulance staff at the scene – they were found not to have suffered any injuries.”
