THE LORD LIEUTENANT of Moray will take the salute in Lossiemouth on Sunday as towns and villages pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.
One of dozens of tributes at war memorials around the region, hundreds are expected to march or line the streets in Lossiemouth for the parade under the direction of WO Alan Milligan, the Station Warrant Officer at RAF Lossiemouth.
The RAF Voluntary Band will lead the procession from James Square that will include representatives from all armed services past and present.
Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston KCSG will take the salute as the parade sets out at 10.45am alongside Group Captain Mark Chappell, the station commander at RAF Lossiemouth.
Squadron Leader N Browne DFC (retired) will represent the Royal British Legion on the parade alongside the President of the RNA Lossiemouth branch, Ian White.
Civic representatives attending the parade this year will be led by Councillor John Cowe with Mike Mulholland, chairman of the Community Council, and Bernard Annikin from the Lossiemouth Business Association.
The parade will gather at the War Memorial at 10.55am and will be brought to attention at 11am precisely when a two-minutes silence will be observed. Benediction is to be conducted by the Rev Graham Crawford.
