MORAY HERITAGE CENTRE is set to enjoy better facilities and longer opening hours as a result of its move to the Elgin Library.
The Moray Council operated centre has been located at the East End Primary School annexe building where it has been for the past 12 years.
However, following approval from the council’s children and young people’s services committee in August, the centre will be closing on November 28 – and reopening just over a week later at the Elgin Library on Monday, December 7.
While the move means the centre being located on the first floor of the library, lift access is available.
As a result of the move service users will have access to more computers, parking, café facilities and the full range of services already available at Moray’s central library building.
The heritage centre opening hours will also be extended to coincide with library opening hours.
