MORAY LIBRARIES HAVE secured the services of a very busy man at this time of the year for their pre-Christmas celebrations.

Santa has agreed to pay a special visit to the Elgin Library on Saturday, December 5 where he will spend the entire day helping to ensure visitors are in the mood for the Festive Season.

Babies, toddlers and their parents and grandparents are being invited to the ‘Bookbug Christmas Party’ at 10am when stories, rhymes and songs will have a Christmas spirit about them.

From 11am to 1pm Santa will operate from his Library Grotto where he is happy for children to drop in for a chat and perhaps leave their wish-list letters at the same time. Mr Clause will then join the children at a 2pm Storytime while older children and parents can design and make their own computer-generated Christmas Cards – or get ‘stuck in’ to a paper and glue craft session at 2.30pm.

All activities are free although booking is essential – to reserve places call the library on 01343 562600 or email elgin.lending@moray.gov.uk.

A few days later on Monday, December 7 the Lossiemouth Library is holding a craft session for adults, providing a host of ideas for them to get creative with their Christmas table. Again the session is free and will begin at 6.30pm.

Also in Lossiemouth, Santa will return to Moray visiting the library for another Storytime session at 11am on Saturday, December 19. There will again be time to put in last-minute requests to Santa who will also accept letters for the North Pole even after the Post Office delivery deadline.

For further information about both Lossiemouth events contact the library on 01343 813334 or email lossiemouth.library@moray.gov.uk.
