CONCERN OVER A series of break-ins to sheds in Elgin has prompted a warning by police for householders to take security precautions.
Four incidents were reported in the Bishopmill area of the Moray town over the weekend in which several items were stolen.
The break-ins happened between Friday and Sunday around Spynie Place, Woodlands Crescent and Ferrier Terrace. Police say that items stolen include power tools and snow sports equipment.
A spokeswoman said that outbuildings were very often the target for thieves and urged property owners throughout Moray to ensure that their valuables are locked away securely.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the areas where the break-ins happened is being urged to contact police on 101 or through the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
