CHRISTMAS CARD DELIVERIES in a Moray town have once again been made a lot simpler and cheaper – as well as providing a boost for the local Scout group.
The Scout and Guide Christmas Post is now under way in Lossiemouth – making it ideal to get last-minute delivered to addresses in town in plenty of time for the Festive season.
Post boxes will remain open until Sunday, December 20 and are located at both branches of the Co-Operative store, Miele’s, Buckley’s Newsagent and Doug’s Fish Bar.
Group Scout leader Alan Anderson said: “People can deposit Christmas Cards along with a 25p donation for each card into the post boxes, and we will collect and deliver them to addresses within Lossiemouth and Hopeman – unfortunately we are unable to deliver to outlying areas.
“The 1st Lossiemouth Scout Group’s share of funds raised will go directly to our much needed roof replacement fund.
“We would like to thank the Lossiemouth community for their support over the years and for helping to provide Scouting and Guiding for the young people of Lossiemouth.
“Lossiemouth Scouts and Guides wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
