THE GROWING INTEREST in people wishing to search through their family history has sparked a series of workshops at the Moray Heritage Centre.
Now located in the Elgin Library, the Heritage Centre is to facilitate a ‘Scottish Family History’ series of workshops under the guidance of learning centre staff.
The workshops will seek to show participants how and where to start in researching their family history, using online resources in the library such as Scotland’s People, LIBINDX and Family Search.
Participants can expect to learn how best to record any data they find and how the Heritage Service in Moray can be of assistance to them in their investigations.
The workshops will last half a day and cost £25 – further information can be obtained by contacting the Elgin Library on 01343 562603 or by email to elgin.library@moray.gov.uk.
