A FREE SERVICE provided by Moray Council’s Library Services that helps unemployed people find their way back to the workplace is seeking volunteers.

Job Clubs set up in several libraries have proved invaluable by providing training, advice and assistance to job seekers. Operated in cooperation with other agencies the clubs provide a raft of services that includes free computer access to search for vacancies and basic training in IT skills.

Now more volunteers are being sought to help run the service in the Keith and Forres libraries.

In Forres the club meets every Monday from 2pm until 4pm while in Keith meetings are at the same time of day on the first and third Thursday of each month.

A spokeswoman said: “The clubs are open to anyone who is looking for work and volunteers are now needed to help people with their online job applications, interview skills and in preparing CVs.”
