POLICE HAVE LAUNCHED a second search for a pensioner in Moray with concern growing over Rosemary Laing, 77 and from the Rothes area.

As the search continued in the Aberlour area for Kathleen Edward, police learned that Ms Laing had also been reported missing on Wednesday having last been spoken to on Tuesday evening.

Rosemary is described as 5feet 3inches tall and of slim build with short white/grey hair, she wears spectacles and is probably wearing a knee-length black jacket and trousers.

A police spokeswoman said: “Searches are ongoing in the area in a bid to trace Rosemary and local officers are being assisted by police dogs and the Coastguard.
“At this point we do not require members of the public to assist with police searches however we would ask that residents in the Rothes and wider area check their own sheds, garages or outhouses.”

Officers are concerned for Rosemary’s welfare and so anyone who has information that could assist with tracing Rosemary is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
