OVER 200 REAL Ale fans turned a drab February Saturday in Elgin into a small part of Bavaria as the second Moray Concert Brass Beer Festival took place.
Bishopmill Hall once again drew in a large number of ale and brass music fans – resulting in the event being declared a second success in raising funding for the popular Moray group.
As the Stein Brass band members provided a range of Polka’s and Waltzes the Lossiemouth-based Windswept Brewing Company ensured that some of their finest output was on hand – and it ended with a thumbs-up from all attending.
“It was a really great day with a fantastic atmosphere – everyone was singing along to the music and having fun,” Moray Concert Brass musical director Glenn Munro reported.
He added: “We had around 200 people through the doors which was more than last time – now we are hoping we have raised £2000 which will make a tour of Europe possible for the band.”
It is expected that the beer festival will now become a regular fixture in the Moray events calendar thanks to the increased support it received.
