New support services are key to coping with cancer in Moray

CLAN Moray providing a raft of new services for those affected by cancer

THE MORAY BRANCH of an organisation that is dedicated to helping people cope with the realities of dealing with Cancer has issued a reminder of the free services they offer.

CLAN Moray has become an essential service since opening their centre in Elgin, with many people already benefitting from the support, help and advice they offer.

Now the Moray area co-ordinator for the charity, Tracy Sellar, is drawing attention to regular sessions being offered in Elgin for people throughout the region.

Tracy said: “Our wellbeing and support centre has launched several new services recently covering a range of subjects that we have learned are important to those who are affected by cancer.

“These include stress-management and mediation sessions, providing new perspectives and techniques for dealing with stress that can make all the difference when cancer comes into your life.

“We also now hold Reflexology sessions each week that can prove beneficial to people in many different ways – these sessions are also held at the Moray Coast Medical Centre in Lossiemouth.”

The stress management and mediation sessions are held each Wednesday in Elgin from 10am until 1pm, while the Reflexology sessions are held on Wednesday’s from 1pm to 4pm in Elgin and on Thursday’s from 1pm to 4pm in Lossiemouth.

Tracy added: “We also have a variety of other therapies and support groups and we would be happy to discuss these with anyone who contacts us.”

Enquiries on any of the sessions can be made by contacting Tracy by email on tracy.sellar@clanhouse.org or by telephone to 01343 544132.
