Growing concern for missing 16-year-old with Moray connections

PEOPLE IN MORAY have been placed on alert in a search for a 16-year-old youth from Montrose who is known to have connections in Buckie and Elgin.

Charlie Behan went missing from his home in the Braehead area of Montrose on Sunday, having last been seen at around 7.45pm that day.

Throughout the day on Tuesday specialists dog handlers were conducting a series of searches in the north east town and were asking members of the public to check their outbuildings and garages for any signs of Charlie.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Charlie was last seen at 7.45pm on March 20, 2016, and is described as being 5ft 8in, of stocky build with short red/auburn hair.

“When last seen he was wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit top and bottoms and black and orange trainers.

“Charlie is known to have links to the Angus, Dundee and St Andrews areas as well as Aberdeen, Buckie and Elgin.”

Police are asking anyone who believe they may have seen Charlie or who have information on his whereabouts to contact them on 101.
