AN EVENT AIMED at ensuring private housing landlords are fully up to date with current legislation and trends is to be held in Moray this month.
The free event is being hosted by Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS) and supported by Moray Council – it will inform Moray landlords and agents what is happening in the private rented sector, both in Moray and throughout Scotland.
Topics will include a private sector update, repair and maintenance obligations of landlords, tenancy agreements and notices, accreditation and health and safety requirements.
LAS is a voluntary scheme under which landlords and letting agents can assure their tenants that they adhere to the highest standards as outlined in the Scottish core standards for accredited landlords. Training and information events are held throughout Scotland – details can be found on the LAS website.
The morning session will be held at the Supper Room in Elgin Town Hall on March 29 from 9.30 until 1pm. It is designed for private landlords and letting agents who are registered with Moray Council.
Booking for the event is essential and can be completed via the LAS website link above – a booking form can also be obtained by email to info@landlordaccreditationscotland.com.
