A BUCKIE FIRM is set to launch its latest product at a European event showcasing seafood around the world this week.
Associated Seafoods will reveal their latest premium smoked salmon product at the world’s largest seafood trade Expo in Brussels on Tuesday.
Pitched under the ‘Pride of Scotland’ banner, commercial director Neil Greig said that he believes the new brand’s “Scottish Provenance” will be a key driver for new markets.
Ahead of the Seafood Expo Global event Neil said: “We are thrilled with the new design which reflects well the traditional time-honoured techniques used by our master smokers.
“The key message we want to get across is that we only ever use Scottish salmon that is only ever smoked in Scotland. We believe that the Scottish provenance of our smoked salmon will be one of the most important drivers in developing new markets.”
Mr Greig added that the Pride of Scotland Scottish smoked salmon is sold in more than 25 countries around the world and the modern new logo and packaging design will provide the platform for existing and new customers to develop their sales.
Based in Buckie ASL’s modern BRC ‘AA’ accredited production facility features traditional-style kilns and high care processing areas. The company exports to customers in five different continents around the world.
