MORAY WOMEN COULD be heading for an event next month that challenges them to ‘unleash their awesome’ as the Moray Business Women’s Club have organised their first ever conference as part of their 10th birthday celebrations.
At the heart of the event are four workshops being headlined by author, mentor and empowerment coach Taz Thornton. recognised throughout the world for inspiring and empowering individuals and organisations to break through their fears.
Donna Harper, president of the MBWC, explained: “We are extremely excited about our first ever conference and we hope to make it a regular feature on the Moray Business Women’s calendar.
“This is a new concept for us, but we have grown as club so much over the last ten years that there is no reason why we shouldn’t be hosting something like this.
“To get Taz Thornton as our main speaker is a major coup. She is an inspiration and we have no doubt that her presentation at the event will resonate with the attendees.
“The conference is designed to appeal to all women whether in business or employment. As well as Taz we have four other workshops lead by local businesswomen which will cover topics such as coaching for awards, effective client communications, leadership and social media visual marketing.
“There really is something for everyone – it is being held at Horizon Scotland which will be a fantastic venue for this type of event too.”
Taz Thornton added: “The women attending this event can expect passion, authenticity, a fresh perspective and me, the real me, not a cardboard cut-out rolled out for the evening with a few ‘motivational’ buzz words thrown in for effect.
“This will be a rags to riches cliché free zone. Instead I’ll be keeping it real, drawing on a wealth of life experiences and insights that you can relate to and reminding people that life is not about following somebody else’s dream, it’s about realising your own and making it happen.
“No more procrastination, just achievable end goals that you want.”
The event will take place on June 7 at Horizon Scotland at the Enterprise Park in Forres – bookings are being accepted now on the Moray Business Women’s Club website.
