
A BODY HAS been found in Elgin sparking a major police investigation last night.
Emergency services attended around 9pm in the and immediately cordoned off Southfield Drive before erecting a blue tent close to the Glassgreen Medical Centre.
Ambulance crews were called with a Scottish Ambulance spokesman saying: “We received an emergency call at about 9pm – two local crews attended alongside Police Scotland.”
By 11pm scenes of crime officers arrived and were seen examining the area where the body – believed to be that of a man in his 20s – was found.
A local resident told insideMoray: “The body appeared to have been found outside the Scotmid shop.
“Confirmed forensics are on site and large numbers of police with the area cordoned off.”
