MORAY HARBOURS UNDER the ownership of the Council are to be the subject of a drop-in workshop this weekend.
Views are being sought from the public on the future development of the harbours at Buckie, Burghead, Cullen, Hopeman, Findochty and Portknockie.
Held at Lhanbryde Community Centre, the session will form part of a wider consultation on the future of Moray’s harbours. While Buckie and Burghead are primarily commercial, working harbours, the other four are mainly recreational with different priorities.
Duncan Brown, who is the Moray Council Harbour Operations manager, said: “Elected members agreed earlier this year to consult with users and local communities on development plans for the harbours which are a valuable asset to Moray both in terms of commercial and recreational use.
“Anyone with an interest in any or all of the harbours is welcome to attend Saturday’s workshop and help generate ideas for a bespoke plan for each harbour.”
The workshop will be held from 9.30am until 1pm.
