MORAY SINGERS AND MUSICIANS have until the end of this month to register for a unique talent show being held later this year as a tribute to Keiran McKandie.
The show is being organised by family and friends of Keiran, who tragically lost his life earlier this year in a road accident when practicing his mountain bike skills with friends.
Keiran’s parents Gordon and Sandra were delighted when a recent fundraising event brought in around £16,000 – which has been earmarked to pay for defibrillators that can be fitted to Moray’s road policing vehicles.
Now they aim to add to that total with the talent show that is scheduled to take place in November at Elgin’s Mansefield Hotel.
The main organiser for the event is family friend Kerri Alexander, who said she would like to see as many people as possible taking part, recalling: “Keiran loved his music – so this is a perfect tribute to him.”
Keiran’s friends are working on a video of him demonstrating his mountain bike skills that they plan to match up with his favourite music and show on the tribute evening.
Entry forms for the talent contest should be returned by September 30 and can be obtained by contacting Kerri by Email – kerri1924@gmail.com
