ELGIN CITY CENTRE will come alive today with spooky goings on as the usual business and farmers market stalls celebrate Halloween in style.
Elgin BID will host the Halloween Family Fun Day from 10.30am this morning through until 4pm – providing fun, games and laughter to the Plainstones.
A spokeswoman said: “The day will be packed with activities and fun for all the family, plus the Elgin BID Business and Farmers Market stalls. The market stalls will be open from 10.00am, offering an exciting range of food, gifts and crafts.
“We will have the Elgin and District Pipe Band kicking off the entertainment at 11am while registration for our fancy dress parade will also begin in the St Giles Centre from 11am until 12noon, with the parade itself following at 12.45pm.”
Invited back for the parade this year is Tyrant Baby T-Rex – with one lucky winner from the Elgin BID social media page having won the chance to be his handler for one of his 30-minute public outings.
The spokeswoman added: There will also have the Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt, with clues located in city centre businesses, the Treasure Hunt is free to enter. Forms and Instant prizes are available from the games area.
“To make sure we have something for everyone we are delighted to host Elgin BID Business and Farmers Market stalls, offering a wide range of high quality, locally produced food, drink, gifts and crafts.
“So why not make a day of it and enjoy lunch or a snack in one of the many great restaurants cafes or Takeaway’s that Elgin City Centre has to offer, then have a browse around the shops.”
