LADIES IN MORAY who are tempted to curl up in front of their TV as the longer nights draw in are being encouraged to think of a more active alternative.

The Kinloss Falcons Women’s Rugby Club are urging local women not to give up on their exercise routines – and instead join them in pushing themselves to keep fit even on the coldest nights.

After just a few years the Falcons have developed a team that are on the cusp of their ambition to enter the Women’s North League – but to do that they will require more members.

Kim Eades said: “We are looking to bring in more women to the sport – they can be aged between 16 and 45 and of all shapes, sizes and abilities, it is about fitness and fun.

“Rugby is a fast growing sport for women around the world and through the sport we are harnessing the power of exercise – most who join us for the first time very quickly realise that the fun in this game need not all be restricted to the boys.”

Anyone interested in joining the Falcons or who may have a few questions to ask are invited to join the at the Kinloss Rugby Club on any Wednesday evening from 7pm, or on Sunday mornings at 10.30am – everyone will be made welcome.
