A LOSSIEMOUTH CHURCH congregation are hoping to boost their funding this weekend when they host a Coffee Morning at their Stotfield Road hall.
St Margaret’s Church in the town will open its doors on Saturday from 10am until 12noon for the event to which all are welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
Several local stalls will also be set up for a quick browse while you are there with a spokesman for event saying: “Our coffee mornings always appear to go down well so we hope this will be no exception!
“These events are vital in helping us raise funding for the Church so we would love to see as many people as possible coming along this weekend.”
St Margaret’s was built over 100 years ago after the local congregation had been meeting in temporary accommodation at various locations around the town.
It was created as the growing number of visitors to Lossiemouth, particularly from England, encouraged the construction of a permanent Episcopal or Anglican church in Lossiemouth – it was generous financial contributions from these visitors that facilitated the building of St Margaret’s.
