AN UNEXPLAINED DEATH in the Buckpool area of Buckie has sparked a police enquiry and appeal for assistance.

Officers are currently in attendance after the death of a 63-year-old woman after police were called with an Ambulance to Land Street at 7.30pm last night.

The woman had been found injured at the property but sadly died later at Dr Gray’s Hospital.

Police have said their enquiry is at an early stage with the death being treated as unexplained, they expect to be in a position to release more information soon.

They are now anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular between 7.15 and 7.30pm, and has information which they think could assist officers in establishing the woman’s movements prior to being taken to hospital should contact Police on 101.
