A BUCKIE YOUNGSTER is showing an appreciation of science and aviation in the best way possible – by working as a volunteer for the Kinloss-based Morayvia.
At just seven years old, Enja Duthie would perhaps be excused for following some less serious pursuits – but this young lady is determined to gather as much information as possible on the exhibits at Moray’s favourite visitor attraction.
“It is fantastic to see that Enja really puts her heart and soul into Morayvia as our youngest volunteer,” Morayvia chairman Mark Mair said.
He added: “She assists whenever and wherever needed – be that from helping to design printed mugs and slates for sale in the gift shop to cleaning and polishing the exhibits. Enja also played a major role in organising a visit to Morayvia for her classmates.
“She has visited us many times and was absolutely convinced her friends would love to come and see the exhibits – which have become a major attraction for the many school groups who have visited Morayvia.”
Enja cites the Sea King as her personal favourite of the many aircraft and scientific items on display at the former Kinloss primary school site – with the Planetarium following a very close second.
Morayvia’s CEO Stan Barber said: “He knowledge of the night sky is vast thanks in particular to a recent class project she undertook. We would all like to thank Enja for keeping up the excellent work she is doing on behalf of Morayvia.”
