VISITORS TO THE West Beach at Lossiemouth are being warned to take great care after a landslip caused rocks to fall onto a popular access path.

Moray Council have issued the warning saying that the fall happened on the public access pathway linking Silver Sands holiday park to the beach close to the Covesea Lighthouse.

insideMORAY reader Jeanette Summers had just walked up the path with a friend minutes before the fall earlier today.

Jeanette said: “We were so lucky – I contacted police to inform them when I arrived back home. It was fine when we passed first but by the time we returned from having a cuppa at the Aroma Café we found the path strewn with rocks.”
