WORK BEGINS FROM TODAY at Elgin Railway Station that will see extensive disruption both to rail services and surrounding road traffic.
The Moray Council car park at the station will be closed from this evening at 6pm while the bridge connecting the station platforms will also be closed.
Diversions will also be in place as the Wards rail crossing will be shut down (see routing advice in image above). Passengers are also advised to check with ScotRail over rail services – the works will continue through until Tuesday, October 17.
Access will, however, be maintained for pedestrians wishing to use the Ticket Office at the station as will access be maintained for Taxis and the rail replacement bus services that will be in operation.
Network Rail and contractors BAM Nuttall have apologised for inconvenience caused to passengers and motorists in the area.
