THE HUGE SUCCESS of an event in December aimed at bringing Moray’s Over-60s community together in a social setting, has resulted in a date for a second ‘Boogie in the Bar’.
Boogie in the Bar invited over-60s to Joanna’s Night Club in Elgin for a pre-Festive bash – and they absolutely loved it.
Now the club, just off Elgin’s High Street, is to host a second event in the form of a Valentines’ Disco from 2pm until 4pm on February 15.
A spokeswoman told insideMORAY: “This Healthy Heart event will promote the importance of physical activity and how by making small changes can keep your heart healthy. Information and advice about how to stay active and what opportunities there are in Moray to keep well will be available from supporting partners.
“The event is being hosted by Health & Social Care Moray with support from Joanna’s nightclub and staff. Come along to enjoy a boogie with friends old and new and help keep your heart happy and healthy.”
Entry is £2 with all proceeds being reinvested into local community groups in Moray. The bar will be selling soft drinks and mocktails. Pre-booking for wheelchair users is essential by calling 01343 563510.
